Wildlife Mississippi Helps the Food Pantry Feed Mississippians Stoneville, MS - Over 500 can goods were recently donated to The Food Pantry, a Monroe County-based food bank coordinated by the First Presbyterian Church in Amory, by the Mississippi Fish and Wildlife Foundation, or Wildlife Mississippi as it is commonly called.
The donation was due to the efforts of the Foundation's program entitled "Hunt Against Hunger". It is a cooperative effort between Wildlife Mississippi and hunters and anglers in Mississippi. The can goods were collected at the Mississippi Fish and Wildlife Expo.
The Foundation encourages hunters and anglers to donate any surplus game meat and can goods to soup kitchens and food banks in their communities.
