President's Message

This first edition of the Foundation's own magazine coincides with the first anniversary of the founding of Wildlife Mississippi. The magazine will keep you better informed of the activities and progress of the Foundation, as well as articles of interest. This organization's success has far exceeded anyone's expectations. Certainly, the number one reason for this is the overwhelming support and commitment of landowners, anglers, hunters, bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts from across the great State of Mississippi.

Where else but Mississippi, with the community spirit of our people and the love of the land, could an organization like this have done so well? Wildlife Mississippi is already the model for other states throughout the nation to emulate.

With your participation and support, the Foundation's future is quite literally unlimited. Mississippi can soon become one of America's premiere fish and wildlife habitats. I can think of nothing else that would do so much to enrich the lives of ourselves, our visitors and our posterity.
